At a time when the condition of the Muslim caliphate is pathetic, when Muslims are fighting over their religion, when people are forgetting Islam and falling in love with the world, in 471 AH, a child was born in the house of Fatima and Abu Saleh Musa at Naid on the coast of Kaspian sea in the district of Jilan, Iran. They named him Mohiuddin Abdul Quader. He is the great Pir Abdul Qader Jilani (RA).

When he had become a faqih and hadith scholar, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to his dream and said to him, “O Abdul Qader Jilani, why do you not bring your wisdom to the door of man?” Why don’t you go to people’s doorsteps with the invitation of Islam?
Abdul Qader Jilani said, “O Messenger of Allah, I was born in Iran, so I cannot speak arabic, so I cannot reach anyone’s door with the invitation of Islam.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) put something in his mouth and gave him saliva. From then on, he spoke such a sweet Arabic language that people would go crazy.

When he used to talk, people listened so eagerly that birds would come and sit on them, but people would not realize that birds were sitting on them, birds would not know whether they were sitting on humans or trees. (This is also a poor description.)
He was so truthful that once he was on a trip. On the way, his caravan was surrounded by a gang of robbers. The bandits took everyone down and lined up. At the very end of the row was Abdul Qader Jilani Rahmatullahi Alaihi. The robbers were taking everything away from everyone one by one, everyone was trying to save their property by lying. They were surprised. They asked why you told us the truth. In response, Abdul Qader Jilani (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “If you ask me if I have anything, I have said what is true.” Did the robbers ask again? Why tell this truth? What told you the truth? Abdul Qader Jilani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “My mother always told me to tell the truth. Then the robbers said to him, “Hi, we don’t even listen to the mother, but instead, they take it from the people and eat it.” Their minds softened. And they all converted to Islam and returned to the path of truth.
He was one of the greatest alleys, having spent most of his life fasting. He spent the night reciting the Qur’an and praying nafal.
